These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of vehicles from AutoGo Mauritius ("AutoGo", "we", "us", or "our"). By making a booking with us, you ("the customer", "renter", or "you") agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before completing your reservation.
To rent a vehicle from AutoGo Mauritius, you must:
International visitors must hold a driving licence valid in their country of residence. No international driving permit is required in Mauritius, but your home-country licence must be in Latin script or accompanied by a certified translation.
Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of full payment or a deposit as specified at checkout. Prices displayed on our website are inclusive of all applicable taxes. No additional fees will be applied at the time of collection beyond those agreed at booking, except for optional extras requested at the time of pickup.
We accept major credit and debit cards. A security deposit may be held against your card at the time of vehicle collection and will be released upon satisfactory return of the vehicle.
To cancel a booking, please contact us via WhatsApp or email as early as possible. We recommend cancelling well in advance to ensure a full refund.
Vehicles must be collected at the agreed time and location. If you are delayed, please contact us immediately. AutoGo reserves the right to release the reserved vehicle if the customer has not arrived within two hours of the agreed collection time without prior notice.
Vehicles must be returned at the agreed time and location, with a full tank of fuel. A one-hour grace period applies. Returns beyond this window will be charged at a pro-rated hourly rate based on the applicable daily rate.
All vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than provided, you will be charged for the cost of the missing fuel plus a refuelling service fee of €10.
All AutoGo rentals include unlimited mileage within the territory of Mauritius. Vehicles must not be taken off the island or onto ferries to Rodrigues or other islands without prior written consent from AutoGo.
Third-party liability insurance is included as standard with every rental in accordance with Mauritius law. This covers damage or injury caused to third parties.
Comprehensive collision damage waiver (CDW) is available as an optional add-on at the time of booking. Without CDW, the renter is liable for any damage to the vehicle up to the full cost of repair or replacement.
Insurance does not cover:
Additional drivers may be added at no extra charge at the time of booking or at vehicle collection. Each additional driver must present their valid driving licence and satisfy the same eligibility requirements as the primary renter. All drivers are bound by these Terms and Conditions.
You agree to:
In the event of an accident, you must:
In the event of a mechanical breakdown, please contact AutoGo immediately. We will arrange roadside assistance or a replacement vehicle where one is available. We are not liable for costs arising from breakdowns caused by driver negligence or misuse.
You are responsible for all traffic violations, parking fines, and other penalties incurred during your rental period. AutoGo will pass on any fines received after the rental period, along with an administration fee of €15, to the card used at the time of booking.
A grace period of one hour applies. Returns beyond this will be charged at an hourly rate equal to one-quarter of the applicable daily rate, subject to a maximum of one additional day's rental charge.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius. Any dispute arising from a rental agreement with AutoGo Mauritius shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mauritius.
